Police in Kebbi State have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the deaths of a married couple. Idrisu Musa allegedly used a cutlass to kill Muhammed Haruna and his wife, Habiba, in Asarara village.
The killings happened in Kimba District, within Jega Local Government Area. According to police records, Musa had previously threatened the couple with the same weapon on multiple occasions.
SP Bashir Usman, the police spokesman in Kebbi, confirmed the arrest to journalists. He said the Commissioner of Police, Umar M.
Hadejia, ordered the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
SCID will now handle the investigation into the murders. Detectives are expected to interrogate the suspect and gather additional evidence.
