Five paramilitary and security agencies have released names of candidates who passed their recruitment exams last November. The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board made the announcement on Saturday in Abuja.

Retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, secretary to the board, disclosed that successful applicants can now proceed to the next phase.

Physical screening and document verification come next, he explained.

Agencies involved in the recruitment drive include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service. All five bodies fall under the CDCFIB's umbrella.

Candidates who wrote the computer-based test must log into the official recruitment portal between June 15 and 20. They'll need their original application numbers from when they first registered.

Shortlisted applicants face another key step ahead. They must upload their academic credentials and pick their preferred screening date and location through the portal.

Jibril urged all candidates to read portal instructions very carefully. "Follow every guideline exactly as written," he cautioned during the announcement.

He stressed that the entire recruitment process is completely free of charge. No applicant should pay money to anyone claiming to help with shortlisting or venue selection.

Fraudsters have been using fake messages and phony links to target desperate job seekers. "Ignore all unauthorised persons and suspicious recruitment messages," the official warned.

Only the CDCFIB's official portal and approved channels will share genuine updates. Nigerians should trust no other source for recruitment information.

According to Jibril, the board remains committed to fair and transparent selection processes. "Merit will determine who succeeds," he assured the public.

Millions of Nigerians applied for positions across these five organisations. Those who passed the CBT now have a real chance to join the services.
