The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has lost one of its senators, Ifeanyi Ubah, who represents Anambra South in the National Assembly, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ubah, who won his second term on the platform of the YPP in the 2019 polls, cited irreconcilable differences within the party as his motive for defecting.
He also stated that his move was for the benefit of his people and the state of Anambra, which he said needed more effective leadership and progress.
He made his defection known in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, which was read aloud in the Senate Chamber on Thursday.
