I Don’t Wish Salah ‘Too Much Luck’ At AFCON – Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, made a light-hearted remark on Friday about not wishing Mohamed Salah too much luck at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

This comes as the team prepares for a critical period without their top scorer., as the tournament is set to take place in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

Klopp’s statement comes as a result of the potential impact on Liverpool’s Premier League title charge.

With the absence of star player Mohamed Salah, who will be representing Egypt in the tournament, the Reds could face a challenging period without their top scorer.

The German manager is hoping for a quick exit for Egypt in the group stage, as this would minimize the time Salah would be away from the club.

However, if Egypt were to progress further in the tournament, it could mean that Salah would miss up to nine games, including a crucial match against title rivals Arsenal on February 1st.

The situation has sparked a debate among fans and pundits alike, with some questioning Klopp’s priorities and others supporting his stance.

The outcome of the tournament remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: all eyes will be on Egypt and Liverpool as the AFCON 2023 unfolds.
