In a recent incident in Lagos, the Managing Director of Fouani Company, which represents LG and Hisense, was abducted along with three Lebanese nationals while traveling by boat.
The abduction took place around Falomo Bridge as the victims were en route from Apapa to Victoria Island.
According to a source familiar with the incident, the kidnappers have reached out and demanded a ransom.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the case, confirmed the incident to PUNCH Online.
When contacted, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development but declined to provide further details. "Yes, it is true. We got the report and we are looking into it. Please, I’m not obliged to state more than that," Hundeyin stated.
The abduction of the Fouani Company MD and the three Lebanese nationals highlights the ongoing security challenges in Lagos, particularly the risks associated with traveling by boat.
