Speaker Abbas Tajudeen formally declared his bid for a fifth term on Saturday in Zaria. The event took place at Mallawa Eid Ground in Kaduna State's heartland.

Thousands of supporters marched through Zaria's streets to attend. They walked from the Emir's Palace past key neighborhoods before reaching the venue.

Abbas told the crowd his representation wasn't about empty promises. "These are visible projects.

These are measurable results," he said.

He reminded constituents of his commitment from day one. Leadership must produce outcomes that improve lives, according to him.

Since 2011, Abbas has represented Zaria Federal Constituency. He emphasized his record as one of Nigeria's most active lawmakers.

His office sponsored 74 bills during his tenure. Twenty-one of those bills were signed into law.

Abbas highlighted agricultural support as a priority for his constituency. He distributed tractors, fertilizers, and equipment to local farmers.

Transport operators also benefited from his initiatives. The speaker provided tricycles and motorcycles to improve mobility.

Numbers tell the real story, Abbas noted. His office distributed 117 vehicles, 200 tricycles, and 1,000 motorcycles across communities.

Religious leaders and polling unit structures received support too. Youth groups and grassroots stakeholders weren't left out.

Direct cash transfers helped struggling businesses stay afloat. About 2,400 beneficiaries received financial support for their enterprises.

Training programs came with cash grants as well. Eight hundred trained beneficiaries each got N250,000.

Small business owners weren't forgotten in the distribution. Some 1,600 owners received N100,000 each.

According to Abbas, this is what real representation looks like. "That is the kind of leadership our people deserve," he told supporters.

He stressed that his efforts focused on solving problems, not seeking publicity. Strengthening governance was always the goal.

Abbas sees agriculture as vital to the local economy. Family survival depends on strong agricultural support systems.

The speaker also backed transport operators and party structures. Community leaders received assistance under various programs.

His constituency office expanded intervention schemes significantly over time. Scaling up meant reaching more people with tangible help.

Abbas promised to continue this work if re-elected. Voters will decide his political future in upcoming elections.
