Founding leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, O'tega Emerhor, has commended the peaceful conduct of the party’s Ughelli North Local Government Congress, describing the exercise as one of the smoothest in the history of the Delta APC.
Speaking on Saturday at Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli, Emerhor congratulated party leaders and members for what he called their mature and orderly conduct, noting that the congress, which produced Hon. Lucky Ofomukoro as chairman, was devoid of the tensions and divisions that characterised past exercises.
He praised the APC Congress Electoral Committee and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a transparent process, urging the newly elected leadership to consolidate party unity and actively promote the achievements of the APC-led administration.
Emerhor said the successful conclusion of the congress signalled the party’s readiness for the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that voters would return Bola Tinubu and Sheriff Oborevwori to power.
“I congratulate APC Ughelli North LGA for the smooth and transparent Congress. We have never had it this good. The process is devoid of division and crisis, unlike in the past,” Emerhor stated.
“With the APC Congress at the council level done, we must mobilise Deltans for the 2027 election. President Bola Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori are our consensus candidates, and we’ll deliver them in Ughelli North and Delta as a whole.”
He further argued that Tinubu’s economic policies have repositioned the country, while describing Oborevwori’s performance as impactful, insisting that both leaders enjoy broad support across Delta State.
