The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has congratulated the Muslim community in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad. The association also called for peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among Nigerians of different faiths.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, said the celebration of Eid-El-Maulud was an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the life and teachings of the Prophet, who preached peace, love, and unity.
He expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its challenges and emerge as a stronger and more prosperous nation.
He wished all Muslims a happy and peaceful Eid-El-Maulud celebration.
