Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria, urging unity, peaceful coexistence, and renewed commitment to nation-building as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, commending their devotion, sacrifice, and adherence to the spiritual tenets of Islam during the period of fasting and prayer.

Oborevwori described Ramadan as a season of deep reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed faith, urging adherents to sustain these virtues beyond the holy month for the collective good of society.

He stressed the need for unity and tolerance among people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds, noting that peaceful coexistence remains vital to sustainable development.

The governor also called on Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for the peace, stability, and progress of the country, emphasizing that collective efforts and mutual understanding are essential to overcoming prevailing socio-economic challenges.

While wishing Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration, Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and the overall well-being of Deltans in line with his MORE Agenda.

He further urged residents to celebrate responsibly and continue to support government initiatives aimed at building a stronger, more secure, and prosperous Delta State.
