Senator representing Delta Central, Senator Ede Dafinone has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Delta Central, Nigeria, and across the world, calling for unity, compassion, and renewed dedication to nation-building as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

The Delta Central lawmaker in a signed goodwill message marking the end of Ramadan, he described the season as one of deep spiritual significance, noting that it represents “the successful completion of Ramadan—a sacred month devoted to fasting, reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal—and the beginning of the blessed month of Shawwal.”

“I extend my warmest felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Delta Central, across Nigeria, and around the world on this joyous occasion,” Dafinone said.

He emphasized that the values cultivated during Ramadan—patience, compassion, discipline, and generosity—must not end with the celebration but should continue to shape individual and collective conduct.

“The holy month of Ramadan embodies the enduring values of patience, compassion, discipline, and generosity. As we celebrate Eid, I urge us all to sustain these virtues by strengthening the bonds that unite us as families, communities, and a nation, while also reaching out to the less privileged in the true spirit of love and service,” he stated.

The senator further described Eid-el-Fitr as a period for reflection and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence, urging Nigerians to embrace unity and mutual respect.

“Eid al-Fitr is a time for forgiveness, unity, and gratitude. May this season inspire in us a renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in building a more just, inclusive, and compassionate society,” he added.

Dafinone also offered prayers for the well-being of citizens, expressing hope for peace and prosperity across the Nation.

“I pray that Almighty Allah grants you and your loved ones peace, joy, sound health, and abundant blessings,” he said, wishing Muslims “a most fulfilling and memorable Eid celebration.”

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a holy month observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting, prayer, and acts of charity.
