Edo Guber: APC Clarifies ‘Sacking’ of Uzodinma as Primary Election C’ttee Chair

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has clarified its stance on the alleged ‘sacking’ of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, as the Chairman of the Edo State Governorship Primary Election Committee.

Contrary to some reports in the media, the party has stated that Governor Uzodinma was not ‘sacked’ but was instead unavoidably absent to complete the primary election process due to prior commitments.

In a press conference held on February 22, 2024, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, explained that Governor Uzodinma was scheduled to attend and present a report at the National Economic Council meeting, which led to his unavailability to lead the completion of the party’s Edo State Gubernatorial Primary Election Process.

As a result, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, who was the Deputy Chairman of the committee, graciously accepted to serve as the Chairman and complete the election process.
