Suswam Vows to Reconcile Atiku and Wike as PDP National Chairman

Former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, has expressed his desire to become the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has pledged to reconcile the party’s key figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, if he is elected.
Speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, Suswam highlighted his long-standing history with the PDP and emphasized his ability to bring together the party’s leadership and address internal crises.
He believes that by reconciling all aggrieved party members, the PDP can regain its footing and challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Suswam emphasized the importance of trust and his close relationships with key figures like Atiku and Wike, noting that these connections would facilitate the process of bringing the party together.
He also attributed the PDP’s current challenges to the presence of moles planted by opposition forces to undermine the party.
The former governor believes that the PDP has the potential to regain power, citing the party’s 16-year tenure at the national level and the growing sentiment among Nigerians that the PDP performed well despite its shortcomings.
Suswam stressed the need for unity and collective thinking within the party to capitalize on this opportunity.
As the PDP prepares for its National Convention, the race for the National Chairman position is heating up.
With his extensive experience in the party and his commitment to resolving internal conflicts, Suswam is positioning himself as a strong candidate for the role.
Whether he can successfully reconcile the party’s leaders and restore unity remains to be seen, but his determination to bring the PDP back on track is evident.
