ECDA congratulates new Aren Eggon, ex-Nasarawa CJ Ubangari

The Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA), Worldwide, has congratulated retired Justice Ahmed Ubangari, the former Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, over his emergence as the new Aren Eggon and paramount ruler of Eggon nation.

Mr David Abuluya, the President of the association, led the ECDA officials to rejoice with the new Aren Eggon at his residence in Lafia on Saturday.

Abuluya, who is also the Founder, Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga,  expressed optimism that Ubangari has the capacity to unite and promote peace amongst Eggon people and their neighbours.

“I am here with ECDA EXCOs to congratulate and rejoice with our new Aren Eggon, Justice Ahmed Ubangari.

“We pray God to give him wisdom to unite and promote peace amongst Eggon people and their neighbours,” he said.

Abuluya, also Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Nasarawa State branch, prayed God to guide and protect the new paramount ruler of Eggon nation.

He assured the first class traditional ruler of their loyalty and support at all times.

The ECDA president solicited for the support of all sons and daughters of Eggon nation to enable the monarch succeed.

Responding, Ubangari appreciated them for the visit and prayed God to grant them safe journey to their various destinations.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Gov. Abdullahi Sule approved the appointment of the former Chief Judge of the state, retired Justice Ahmed Ubangari, as the new Aren Eggon, on May 5.

Sule gave the approval shortly after being presented with the report of the committee saddled with the responsibility of conducting the selection of the new Aren Eggon, at the Government House.

The governor explained that the selection of the new Aren Eggon was conducted in accordance woth Eggon tradition and in line with the strict policy of transparency under his administration.

NAN also report that Ubangari succeeds the late Dr Bala Abaine Angbazo, who died in July 2022.
