Nigeria's Nationwide League One has set a new date for the abandoned playoff clash between FC Ebedei and Yewa FA. A serious collision during the match forced officials to halt proceedings immediately.

Ebedei's Kehinde Abdulquadri and Yewa goalkeeper Olalere Ridwan collided on the pitch. Ridwan lost consciousness and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The NLO prioritized player safety in making the decision to stop play. League officials expressed sympathy to both teams during what they termed a difficult period.

The remaining action will resume at a neutral venue in Ajegunle, Lagos. Play stopped at the 45th minute with the score locked at zero.

According to the league, the fixture resumes from exactly where it ended. Same minute, same scoreline, and identical match officials will oversee proceedings.

Kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM sharp. Both clubs must arrive with their full squads at least an hour early.

NLO promised adequate security arrangements for the fixture. Medical logistics will also be in place to prevent another emergency situation.
