COVID-19 Lockdown: Ogodo donates 100 bags of rice, cash to Sapele residents

The Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and Candidate in the last Delta State House of Assembly Election, Hon Moses Ogodo on Sunday, distributed over 100 bags of Rice and N5,000 each to over 150 people in Sapele, Delta State.

Hon Moses Ogodo who also gave a large sum of cash to members of his support group, Five thousand Naira each to assist them for the purchase of food items to stay at home for two weeks as directed by the State Government, went round Sapele Local Government to distribute bags of rice and five thousand Naira each to elderly women and APC faithful in the community.

In an effort to stay free over the dreaded Coronavirus (Covid19) outbreak, Ogodo and his support group members made the distribution from Okwovwori to Amukpe down to Ajogodo, while hundreds of women went to his house for their packages.

Ogodo while addressing newsmen stated that he decided to reach out to the people, members of APC during this Coronavirus pandemic.

“I’m reaching out to my people, members of APC, elderly women and the women groups because they need to be taken care of in this critical time. Based on the directive of the state government that we should stay at home for two weeks, I decided to give bags of Rice to various quarters and we should always make sure that our people are properly taken care of”, adding that he is doing it on behalf of his family, the Deputy Senate President, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, and the president of Nigeria.

Comrade Solomon Makolomi a benefactor said “we didn’t expect this but to our greatest surprise Moses Ogodo gave us Bags of rice for staying at home. I am very happy and my people are very happy as well.

Mama Eghaghara Koko also thanked Hon Moses Ogodo for his kind gesture as she was seen singing and dancing to God.
