A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Engr. Eric Egere has called on APC leaders and stakeholders in Uvwie Local Government Area to redouble their efforts in mobilising grassroots support for the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Chief Egere, who is also the CEO of Ermakel Hotel and Suites, made this call during a strategic meeting he hosted at his Effurun residence in Uvwie, aimed at uniting the party’s structures behind the re-election campaigns of the governor and the president.
The meeting, which drew participants from all wards in Uvwie, showcased a renewed spirit of solidarity and coordination within the local chapter of the APC. Egere commended the impressive turnout, describing it as a strong indication of the party’s readiness to play a defining role in Delta politics ahead of 2027.
According to him, “I decided to host this meeting because of my love for Uvwie and to sensitise our people to support the governor because he is our own,” Egere said. “Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated genuine commitment through infrastructural development and capacity-building initiatives that have positively impacted our people.”
He lauded the governor’s empowerment programs, which focus on human capital development and self-reliance, describing them as transformative for Uvwie’s socio-economic landscape.
Also speaking, Hon. Mudiaga Okerefe, a member of the APC State Working Committee, urged Uvwie residents to rally behind the governor’s administration. “Anybody who will not work for the governor in Uvwie is an enemy of progress. Any indigene or non-indigene living in Uvwie who sees the remarkable work the governor is doing and refuses to support him in 2027 is an enemy of progress,” Okerefe declared.

In his remarks, the Uvwie APC Chairman, Comrade Wilfred Ileleji, thanked Chief Egere for hosting the meeting and bringing together the party’s stakeholders. He emphasised the need for unity within the APC, urging members to work collectively for the success of Governor Oborevwori and President Tinubu.
Chief (Barr.) Benjamin Eshenake, another prominent party leader, announced the major resolution of the gathering — a collective commitment by all attendees to support and campaign vigorously for the re-election of both leaders in 2027.
Other speakers, including Chief Godfrey Okoloba, Comrade Freeborn Onokpuvie, and Hon. Efe Okonedo, echoed similar sentiments, stressing the importance of grassroots mobilisation, party cohesion, and strategic engagement ahead of the polls.
The meeting ended on a high note, with participants reaffirming their loyalty to the APC and pledging to strengthen its structures across Uvwie. The gathering underscored the party’s renewed determination to deliver resounding victories for Governor Oborevwori and President Tinubu in the forthcoming elections.
