The attacks, which took place on Monday night, have left at least six people dead and many others abducted.

The affected villages include Yar Nasarawa, Madogara, and others in the vicinity.

The bandits, who were reportedly wielding sophisticated weapons, stormed Yar Nasarawa village in the late hours of Monday, killing six people and setting eight cars on fire.

The village, which shares a boundary with Zamfara State and is located close to the Nigerian Army Super Camp, was left reeling from the devastation.

In addition to the killings, the bandits abducted an unspecified number of people and wounded several others.

They also set ablaze six shops, including grain stores, and destroyed motorcycles belonging to the residents.

The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the attacks, stating that six people were killed and 10 others wounded.

Three houses and 10 vehicles were also set on fire by the attackers. Police Commissioner Aliyu Musa has deployed the command’s tactical, operational, and intelligence teams to the scene and is currently combing the surrounding bushes for the perpetrators.
