Atiku Demands Explanation from PEPC over Tinubu’s Legal Team Header on Judgment Copies

Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has demanded an explanation from the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) over the presence of Tinubu’s legal team header on the certified true copies (CTC) of the judgement that dismissed his petition challenging the 2023 presidential election.

In a statement released on Saturday by his media aide, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said he was puzzled by the fact that the copies of the judgement that were given to him and his party did not have the same header as the ones that were given to the respondents, especially the Tinubu Presidential Legal Team.

Atiku said he was not trying to stir up controversy, but he wanted the PEPC to clarify why they chose to affix the header of one of the respondents on their official document and why they gave priority to the Tinubu Presidential Legal Team to receive the CTC of the judgement before him and his party.

He said Nigerians deserved to know if the Tinubu Presidential Legal Team had any special role or influence in the PEPC or if they provided any clerical services to the court.
