Arewa Group Defends Wike’s Commitment to FCT Security

The Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) has come out in support of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, following a statement by Senator Ireti Kingibe accusing him of displaying an “I don’t care attitude” towards the security of the Nigerian capital.

The Arewa group has called on politicians in the FCT to give the former Rivers State governor the time he needs to do his job as the head of the FCT Administration.

The AYA emphasized that the current state of the nation requires unity and cooperation among all political players, rather than politically motivated statements, slander, witch-hunt, or image tarnishing.

The group highlighted that Wike has demonstrated his commitment to the security and infrastructural development of the FCT.

In a statement by AYA’s Speaker, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, the group urged politicians from all political backgrounds to work together in ensuring the security of lives and properties of all residents in the FCT.

The AYA echoed Wike’s recent statement that without security, no meaningful development can be achieved.

The Arewa group cautioned politicians against “playing politics with the precious lives of FCT residents and causing nuisance.

” They called on residents to remain calm, comply with security agents in carrying out their jobs, and report any suspicious activities, as security is the responsibility of all.

The Arewa Youth Assembly has come out in support of Nyesom Wike’s efforts to ensure the security and development of the Federal Capital Territory.
