Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is urging Ondo South voters to cast ballots peacefully this Saturday. He wants them to elect Dayo Faduyile of the All Progressives Congress to the Senate.

The senatorial seat fell vacant in June 2026. Senator Jimoh Ibrahim left to become Nigeria's UN Permanent Representative.

Aiyedatiwa spoke Thursday at the party's campaign finale in Okitipupa. He praised Faduyile as the ideal candidate for the district.

According to him, Faduyile has the skills and background needed. The governor said he can effectively push Ondo South's interests in the Senate chamber.

Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami represented Aiyedatiwa at the rally. He noted that Ibrahim had raised the bar for representation in the district.

Adelami stressed voters cannot afford lower standards going forward. He called on residents to turn out in large numbers Saturday for Faduyile.

Aiyedatiwa also renewed his commitment to APC dominance statewide. He expressed optimism about the party's momentum ahead of 2027 elections.

State APC Chairman Kolawole Babatunde urged party members to mobilize voters aggressively. He assured stakeholders the working committee stands ready to secure victory.

Campaign Committee Chairman Femi Agagu backed Faduyile's candidacy strongly. He said Faduyile's credentials and appeal make him simple to promote to voters.

Local APC leaders Olusola Oke and Isaac Kekemeke weighed in. They framed Saturday's contest as a chance for Ondo South to flex its electoral muscle.

Both men linked the bye-election to 2027 ambitions for Tinubu. They promised a decisive outcome on Saturday would demonstrate the district's strength.

Faduyile himself committed to a grassroots-focused legislative program Thursday. He pledged to prioritize constituents' actual needs and aspirations.

If elected, he vowed to champion substantive representation in Abuja. According to him, he'll attract development projects and back policies improving living standards.

Faduyile promised frequent engagement with residents about their concerns. He said responsive and accountable leadership will justify their trust in him.
