The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Delta State has achieved what it described as another “remarkable milestone” with the inauguration of its Ward Coalition Committees across all 25 Local Government Areas of the state.

The exercise, held simultaneously in all 270 wards at local government headquarters, was hailed as a resounding success in consolidating the party’s grassroots structure and strengthening its coalition network.

Speaking at the Ika South inauguration, the State Chairman of ADC, Engr. Austine Okolie lauded state, local government, and ward executives, alongside coalition partners, for their unity and commitment to building what he called “a formidable structure for a better Nigeria.” He stressed that the development signals the party’s determination to reshape the country’s fortunes and proves Delta ADC’s readiness to “take power from the Presidency down to the State House of Assembly come 2027.”

Okolie urged newly inaugurated members to see themselves as “true ambassadors of the party,” charging them to mobilise citizens at the unit level, encourage voter registration, and ensure votes count in the next election. Describing Nigeria’s economic woes as alarming, he called on well-meaning Nigerians to take urgent steps to rescue the nation, insisting that “ADC remains the only credible alternative political platform capable of delivering people-oriented leadership and good governance.”

“We must not lose faith. There is still hope for a better Nigeria of our dreams,” he declared. “With a redefined handshake of hope and unity, together we can rescue our great country. ADC stands as God’s chosen vehicle with the mantra ‘Arise and Shine Nigeria’, symbolised by the handshake of peace, unity, and shared purpose.” The ADC leader reaffirmed the party’s confidence to defeat any political opponent in Delta State in the coming elections.
