Delta Speaker urges youths to key into Okowa’s SMART Agenda

Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged Urhobo youths to key into the SMART Agenda of the Delta State Government, just as he described the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa led government as “youth friendly.”

The Speaker made this statement at Asaba over the week when youths from Delta Central Senatorial District paid him a solidarity visit to pledge their support for him, on his emergence as the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.

Oborevwori expressed happiness for the show of love from youths of his senatorial district, he explained to the visiting youths that his duties is to  make laws for the good governance of Delta State in synergy with the executive arm of government in overall interest of Deltans.

He therefore urged them to key into the State government SMART Agenda programme since according to him Okowa administration is youth friendly, as the government is working to empower youths through its various programmes.

The Speaker who was accompanied by other principal officers of the house assured them that he is going to work with the Governor to get a better deal not only for Urhobo youths, but also for the entire youths in the state.

Earlier, Comrade Believe German who led Urhobo youths under the auspices of Core Delta Central Youths said that they are on solidarity visit to thanked Honourable members for electing one of their own, Hon. Oborevwori as the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and also to pledge their support for his leadership.

According to him, “we have come to commend your colleagues for taking a bold step in electing you as the Speaker; we have come to rejoice with you Mr. Speaker. As an experienced grassroots politician, we have come to tell Deltans that your emergence as Speaker is accepted and supported by the youths of your senatorial district.”
The also urged the Speaker to be calm and focus, even as they prayed for his success in office.
