“Elections are about people. The huge turnout for the election affirms the people’s confidence in democracy in Edo State. By allowing an atmosphere for the people to freely vote their choices, our national security apparatus has helped to further consolidate this democracy. By not turning their weapons to rigging machines as is the history in Delta State, our army, police, state security service and other national security personnel rekindled hope in their role as guardians of our democracy. This is highly commendable.

He stated further that, “elections are often acrimonious. They tend to breaks bonds of brotherhood in very unusual ways. Guided by the law and good conscience, we cannot be wrong in our choices to lead with grace. I trust the present pragmatic and very promising incoming leadership in Edo State to sincerely heal the land and build a better society for all our people in Edo.

With one voice and a determination never before witnessed, we shall repair the foundations of our dear Delta. By the grace of God and will of our people, we will remove PDP totally from Delta.”
