Nigeria's digital payment service bank, 9 Payment Service Bank (9PSB), has praised the remarkable advancements made by female professionals and entrepreneurs in the fintech sector and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) at this year's Digital Pay Expo and Exhibition in Lagos.

The event focused on the payment habits of Millennials and Gen Z, highlighting their significant impact on the payment industry and the need to develop solutions that cater to their preferences and loyalty.

During the session, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of 9PSB, Branka Mracajac, highlighted the strides women have made in the fintech sector and SMEs in recent years.

She acknowledged the ongoing challenge of gender disparity but noted the increasing number of women occupying key executive positions in finance and fintech, as well as other sectors.

Mracajac emphasized the importance of the right mindset, hard work, and continuous education in achieving success. She encouraged women to network, seek inspiration, and seize opportunities to advance their careers.

"We need more prominent professional women leaders in fintech to inspire young girls. Women should stay focused, connected, and look for opportunities to kick-start their careers," Mracajac stated.

The fintech industry continues to address issues of gender disparity and financial inclusion to ensure equal growth and opportunities for all.
