30th Anniversary: Kwara Governor felicitates Alofa of Iloffa

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has felicitated with His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Niyi Dada Okinbaloye Aponbiepo II, the Alofa of Iloffa Land, on his 30th anniversary.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports  that the event took place on  Saturday at the palace of the Alofa in Iloffa.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ilorin by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mrs Modupe Joel.
The governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, described the traditional ruler as a symbol of peace and development whose reign in the last three decades has ushered in unprecedented development and deeper inclusion.
AbdulRazaq also described the anniversary as bold celebration of success, peace and harmony that has been reigning in the Iloffa kingdom.
AbdulRazaq, therefore, implored the traditional ruler to do more to further development in Iloffa, the entire local government and the state in an atmosphere of unity and healthy collaboration.
“I celebrate His Royal Highness for his giant strides over the last 30 years but also implore him to do more by bringing his people together as a bridge builder to work for peace and development of the area.
 “I appeal to everyone to continue to work with the traditional institutions, the government, and security agencies to secure our communities.
 “Together, we can harness our potentials for the overall development of our state,” he said.
The President, Iloffa Decendants Union (IDU), Alhaji Suleiman Wole-Sanusi, extolled the pragmatic efforts and acumen of the monarch.
He said the area has experienced tremendous transformation since the ascension of Aponbiepo II on the throne.
According to the statement, Okinbaloye II is also the Chairman of Oke-Ero Traditional Council of Chiefs and Member, Kwara State Council of Chiefs.
