Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has declared that the people of Delta North (Anioma) will give their "total support" and view Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as their "sole candidate" for re-election in the 2027 gubernatorial polls.

The federal lawmaker, speaking amidst ovation at a crucial All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders' meeting Sunday at Government House, Asaba, assured that political leaders and the generality of the populace were united in their resolve to back Governor Oborevwori for a second term.

Nwoko attributed the widespread support to the Governor’s commitment to equity and the successful implementation of his M.O.R.E development initiative, which focuses on infrastructure and human empowerment. He noted that Oborevwori's agenda aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda.

"Delta North Senatorial district as a whole will support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori 100%... He has our total goodwill. Delta North is for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori," Nwoko stated.

The Senator also affirmed Delta North's commitment to the success of the APC at both the state and federal levels, including the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.

The meeting saw the attendance of Governor Oborevwori, immediate past Governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa (whom Nwoko described as the "National Leader" of the party), serving and former National Assembly members, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, the State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, and other key party stalwarts.
