Oborevwori bags Midwest Legislator of the Year Award

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has been presented with the Midwest Legislator of the year award.

The Publisher/ CEO of Midwest Tempo, Emeka Ogbeide (JP), said at the Award ceremony held at the Function Hall of Prestige Hotel, GRA, Benin City, Edo State capital, on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 that the numerous accomplishments of the Speaker in his legislative and administrative responsibilities earned him the award.

According to him; “Your numerous accomplishments in your legislative and administrative responsibilities have been noted and acknowledged, hence the award of Midwest Legislator of the year to you”.

“Also, your philanthropic engagements and commitment to the welfare of our people remain indelible. You have demonstrated incredible attachment to the overall well-being of a greater proportion of Delta people. You truly deserve this Midwest Legislator of the year award”, he added.

In a brief remark after he was presented with the award, the Speaker lauded Salem Heritage Associates, Publishers of Midwest Tempo for the honour done him.

Represented by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr Dennis Otu, the Speaker said that he was excited by the Midwest Legislator of the year Award.

“I am so glad and honoured to be here today to receive the Legislator of the Year Award”, he said.

The Speaker who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of state legislatures of Nigeria disclosed that; “On Saturday, September 11th, 2021, I bagged the Leadership Service Award of Asaba Rotary Club Downtown. And here again, being presented with another award–It is a humbling experience for me”.

“As a recipient of the “Midwest Legislator of the Year Award” which is very dear to my heart, I want to commend Salem Heritage Associates, the Publishers of Midwest Tempo for this recognition and honour done to me. Thank you for the opportunity”, Rt Hon Oborevwori said

The Speaker also said that; “I, therefore, want to dedicate this Award, to God Almighty and my Honourable Colleagues for their support and providing me the platform for service . Thank you for your kind attention and God bless”.
