BREAKING NEWS: Gunmen attack military post, kill army officer in Delta

Unknown gunmen has reportedly attacked a military check points killing one army officer and allegedly made his gun at Oton community sapele, Delta State.

The gunmen which allegedly came with a speed boat through the Oton river were said to have opened fire at the army officers who were at a checkpoint at the entrance of the community, close to the river.

Advocate also gathered that a police man was also amongst those allegedly shut dead, however, as at the time of filing this report, this, cannot be independently verified.

I security source who spoke to one of our correspondent in confidence, while confirming the reported attacked said: ” yes there was an attack, one army has been confirmed dead, but the situation is still not very clear.”

Meanwhile, there are reported tension building up in the community for fear of possible military onslaught following massive deployment of men of 19 Battalion, Nigerian Army Moko to the community this night.
