Senator Dafinone stated this during his inauguration reception in Abuja on Tuesday, disclosing that he will work not just to surpass past senators’ records, but will create his record that will be indelible in the minds of our people.

He disclosed that he and his team have mapped out strategies to give Delta Central quality representation with visible results because he stands in an enviable position of doing more than the past senators did because they have set a standard that must not be lowered.

According to Senator Dafinone, “I have been told by many Urhobo leaders that I must not only beat the record of my late father, Senator David Omuenya Dafinone of blessed memory but I must also beat the record of the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege.

“I tell you that when we were campaigning in Delta State, their works made it easy for us to campaign, Omo-Agege made our job of campaign easier and now I stand in an enviable position of doing more than he did, disregarding whether I am the Deputy President of the Senate or just new Senator.

“So, my answer to those people asking what I am going to do, to surpass his record, is that Ovie Omo-Agege has his record already, I will create my record with time, myself and my team, and have already mapped out what we are going to do, so Delta Central be on your toes as we said before the campaign Dafinone is coming.

“Today, I am no longer just an APC senator, but the Senator for Delta Central irrespective of religious or political affiliation, ultimately that is the assignment I signed up for and I will do that job to the best of my ability.

“I also wish to thank you all, friends and well-wishers and the great people of Delta Central who gave their time, money, and advice which motivated me to keep going through a period of one year of the campaign, I am thanking you all,” he added.
