1,500 Ogun Residents Benefit from Free Surgeries; 80k Students Receive ₦50k Each

In a commendable effort to alleviate the burdens of its residents, the Ogun State Government has announced that over 1,500 individuals have received free surgeries as part of its ongoing Free Surgery Intervention Programme.

Additionally, approximately 80,000 tertiary institution students have been given a financial boost, receiving ₦50,000 each.

This initiative, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, aims to improve the welfare and well-being of the people in the state.

The government has also implemented measures to cushion the effects of inflation on its residents, including the sale of discounted rice to civil servants.

Governor Dapo Abiodun recently disclosed that over 1,500 residents of Ogun State have benefited from the government’s Free Surgery Intervention Programme, which is part of a broader effort to provide accessible healthcare services to its people.

In addition to the free surgeries, thousands of pregnant women, the aged, and the vulnerable have also received free healthcare services from the state government.

This initiative reflects the administration’s proactive approach to addressing the welfare and well-being of its citizens.

In a bid to mitigate the impact of the current economic inflation, the Ogun State Government has extended financial assistance to its residents, including tertiary institution students.

Approximately 80,000 students have received ₦50,000 each, and over 400,000 indigent primary and secondary school students have been given ₦10,000 alongside exercise books.

This financial aid is intended to cushion the effect of the current economic climate.

Governor Abiodun has emphasized his administration’s commitment to being proactive in addressing the welfare and well-being of the people in the state.

The government has also implemented several initiatives to support residents during challenging times.

The sale of discounted rice to civil servants is one such initiative aimed at mitigating the impact of inflation.

During a monitoring exercise of the discounted rice sale at the State Secretariat Complex in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun expressed his delight at the orderly manner in which the exercise was conducted.

He reiterated that civil servants play a crucial role in society and that any support given to them would have a direct impact on the community.

Governor Abiodun also acknowledged the decisive steps taken by President Bola Tinubu to rejuvenate the economy and position the country for growth.

He urged residents not to lose hope, noting signs of economic improvement such as the appreciating value of the naira.

The government is also working towards addressing food security concerns by providing food items at affordable prices in the near future.
