President Bola Tinubu is satisfied with how the APC conducted its primary elections nationwide, according to party chairman Prof Nentawe Yilwatda. Yilwatda made this known Wednesday night after visiting the president in Lagos.

He told reporters the primaries reflected the party's strength and competitive appeal. Many aspirants competed for positions across Nigeria, he noted.

Yilwatda said this surge in interest proves the APC's deep roots in communities. Nigerian voters clearly trust the party as their preferred choice, he added.

The party chairman praised how smoothly the exercises unfolded without major disruptions. Complaints were minimal and the process ran almost flawlessly, in his words.

"The President was very impressed with the logistics we deployed across the country, the tactics we've used," Yilwatda said. "He has also been very impressed with the reduced number of incidents that we have across the country."

According to him, Tinubu expressed happiness with the party's overall performance. He's satisfied with our direction and execution, Yilwatda told journalists.

The ruling party has already begun its primary contests for various elective positions. These exercises come ahead of next year's general elections.
