Afolabi Olorode, acting managing director and CEO of Quest Merchant Bank Limited, has stressed how vital workplace culture is to achieving lasting business success.
"We recognise that a strong workplace culture is fundamental to sustainable business success," Olorode said after the bank hosted the second edition of the Great Place to Work Nigeria Study Mission.
The Study Mission brings together organisations certified by Great Place to Work to learn from each other, share what works, and improve their workplace environments.
Olorode reaffirmed Quest Merchant Bank's drive to build a high-performance culture and champion people-focused leadership across the organisation.
He explained that when employees have room to grow, create, and excel, companies can deliver better results to clients and stakeholders. "We're proud to back initiatives like the Great Place to Work Nigeria Study Mission that push organisations to grow together and lift workplace standards across Nigeria," he said.
According to him, the Study Mission underscored how crucial it is for companies to work together on creating strong employee experiences.
Tolulope Dayo-Peters, head of people management at Quest Merchant Bank, highlighted why ongoing learning and teamwork matter when building lasting workplace cultures.
"At Quest Merchant Bank, we see building a great workplace as a continuous process rooted in trust, purposeful leadership, and real commitment to our people," Dayo-Peters said.
The platform gave participants space for honest conversations, peer learning, and sharing practical strategies on employee engagement, organisational culture, leadership growth, and talent management. It also helped strengthen a network of employers working toward excellence in the workplace.
