Workers to Expect New Minimum Wage in March – NLC

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has confirmed that Nigerian workers can expect a new minimum wage by March 2024.

According to the NLC, negotiations with the federal government are already underway, and the new minimum wage is expected to be finalized by the end of March.

This timeline aligns with the current minimum wage, which is set to expire on March 30, 2024.

The NLC has also stated that the new minimum wage will be a significant improvement over the current one, which is N30,000 per month.

This increase is expected to help workers cope with the rising cost of living and provide a much-needed boost to their purchasing power.
