Super Eagles forward Tolu Arokodare faces an uncertain future at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The signing of Mexican striker Raul Jimenez has triggered speculation about his next move.

Analyst Chris Gallagher believes Jimenez's arrival signals the end of Arokodare's time at Wolves. He made the observation in a piece for Football League World.

Arokodare arrived at Wolverhampton after impressing in Belgium significantly. During his spell there, he scored 23 goals and created seven assists across 45 matches.

His Premier League experience proved far less fruitful unfortunately. Wolves endured a disastrous campaign that resulted in Championship relegation.

Gallagher suggests the club failed to maximize the Nigerian's abilities. In the Championship, he noted, Arokodare could prove far more dangerous.

"It could be argued that Wolves didn't play to Arokodare's strengths, and in the Championship he could be more effective," Gallagher wrote. According to him, Jimenez will become Wolves' primary striker going forward.

Other strikers complicate matters further for Arokodare's prospects. Sasa Kalajdzic has returned from injury to bolster the squad.

Gallagher also noted that incoming manager Peixoto may pursue his own targets. That development could leave even less room for the Super Eagles talent.
