We Are Restructuring, Not Ending Operations In Nigeria, Says JSM

Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing (JSM), a leading syringe manufacturer in Nigeria, has announced that it is undergoing a restructuring process to adapt to the evolving business environment in the country.

The company, which was inaugurated in 2017 by then-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, had previously secured a $1 million credit facility and was planning to expand its operations beyond syringes to include gloves, masks, and infusion sets.

The announcement comes after the company’s recent decision to temporarily halt operations in Nigeria, citing “unforeseen circumstances affecting our business operations.”

This temporary halt in operations has led to concerns about the company’s future in Nigeria, especially given the recent exodus of multinational companies from the country.

However, JSM has reassured its employees and stakeholders that it is not ending operations in Nigeria but rather restructuring to ensure the long-term sustainability of the company.

The company’s management has stated that it is committed to Nigeria and will continue to invest in the country to provide high-quality products and services to its customers.

JSM’s decision to restructure its operations in Nigeria is a positive sign for the country’s economy, as it demonstrates the company’s commitment to adapting to the changing business environment and finding ways to remain competitive.

It is also a testament to the resilience of the Nigerian people and their ability to overcome challenges and continue to thrive in the face of adversity.
