Wamakko Urges Sokoto Traders to Avoid Hoarding and Food Export, Emphasizes Fair Market Practices

Former Sokoto State Governor and APC leader, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has called on traders in the state to refrain from hoarding food items and exporting them to other countries.

He urged them to conduct their businesses fairly and reduce hardship for the less-privileged.

Wamakko emphasized the importance of traders fearing Allah in their business practices and advised them to stop creating artificial scarcity by refusing to offload goods when bought from other parts of the country.

He stressed the need for a competitive market, which would force prices to come down.

The senator also revealed that the Ahmad Aliyu-led government is planning to provide welfare to traders, women, youths, and other people of the state, which would bring more relief to the lives of the public.

By promoting fair market practices and discouraging hoarding and food export, Wamakko hopes to ensure that food items are readily available to the public at reasonable prices.

This approach will help to alleviate food scarcity and reduce the burden on the less-privileged members of society.
