Value Rebirth-Centre LSD Leadership School Effurun-Warri Study Centre graduates 3rd sets, gets 117 intake

A non-governmental and nonprofit Organisation in Delta State, Value Rebirth in conjunction with Center LSD Leadership school Effurun-Warri Study Centre, Delta State, weekend graduated her third sets of students amidst Joy.

Value Rebirth-Centre LSD Leadership School Effurun-Warri Study Centre, amongst other things, seeks to tackle the challenge of leadership failure in Nigeria nay Africa, by grooming new sets of transformational leaders with the needed skills, mindsets and right attitudes.

The event which took place today Saturday 29th August 2020 at PTI Conference Center, Effurun, elicited much interest from many of the people who only graced the even to take up the challenged of enrolling in the school and get tutored in the arts of leadership.

The centre Director of Studies (DOS) who also doubles as the Executive Director Value Rebirth and Empowerment INITIATIVE (VREI) Pastor Edewor Egedegbe in his remark said the idea of starting the leadership school was borne out of the realization that leadership is a major problem in Nigeria nay Africa.

According to him, the challenges faced across the world especially in Africa and Nigeria has confirmed our diagnostics on the primacy of leadership in dealing with challenges facing humanity.

He stressed that many scholars and commentators are in agreement that leadership failure is one of the major factors responsible for the underdevelopment of Africa.

Egedegbe noted that it has been proven that leaders can be trained, “this is why VREI in partnership with Centre LSD has consistently trained leaders from all works of life for three years now at Effurun-Warri study Centre.

He disclosed further that, the leadership school came on stream on the 10th of June, 2017 as first of its kind in the South-South (Niger Delta), in a bid to train leaders by attempting to unravel the complexity of leadership and offering a framework that will help people with a focus on leader development and leadership development.

“The school graduated 78 students today and 117 new students took matriculation oath for the 2020/2021 academic session, while the total numbers of students graduated from the Leadership school in the last three years 182 Students.

“It is also worthy of note, the school which runs for a period of one year per session is free of charge for all students, even as we also plead for an assistant from both State Government and Private Sectors to make sure the institution has their permanent site here in Delta State.

The theme of this year lecture is; “Leadership and the Security Challenges In Nigeria” and the Guest Speaker, Navy Capt. Herman Efenudu Rtd.

Other dignitaries who also attend the ceremony are: “Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, DSP  represented by Hon Chuks Erhire, (SSA) Constituency matters, Delta CP Onuwa Hafis, ably represented by CSP Udeviotu Onyeke, CO 3 Battalion Effurun, represented by Major Suleiman Abdul, Prof. Williams Akpochafo, Arch Bishop Dr Arhavwarien JP, amongst others.
