TSM mourns Chief Unuame, says he was a Sheriffier-per-excellence

The Leadership of a foremost support group of Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori JP, FICMC, The Sheriffication Movement (TSM) has lamented the painful and untimely demise of one of her principal’s most dedicated supporters and personal spokesperson, Chief Joe Unuame, following a fatal car crash, yesterday on his way to the flag-off of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Local Government campaign in Patani.

The group in a statement issued today in Asaba and signed by its Director-General Comr. Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, described Unuame’s demise as a devastating blow to the Sheriffication agenda in the state, adding that a big vacuum that would take so long to fill has just been created.

“On behalf of our Grand Patron, His Excellency Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, our college of patrons and members in the three Senatorial Districts of the State, we mourn so dearly Chief Joe Unuame, an astute, fervent and selfless supporter of our Principal, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori JP FICMC, whose earthly journey came to an abrupt end yesterday in a ghastly car crash on his way to the flag off of our party’s LGA to LGA campaign in Patani.

“We are deeply saddened, pained and rattled by this ugly development. Our respected Chief was a ‘Sheriffier”-per excellence and a grassroots mobilizer for our principal. He was among the few earliest men who enlisted in this struggle at a time no one gave us a chance. His demise a few months to the glory of this journey is, however, a pill too bitter to swallow”, the statement reads in part.

” We, therefore, take solace in God who knows the end from the very beginning, as nothing could have happened under the sun without his knowledge. We pray God to grant the departed eternal rest, and the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss”, he concluded.
