Tragedy in Lagos: Man Arrested for Allegedly Beating Wife to Death

A man has been arrested for allegedly beating his wife to death.

The suspect, Emmanuel Okpara, is currently in police custody as investigations continue into the tragic event.

The incident came to light when the deceased’s son, Destiny, reported the matter to the Elere police division.

Destiny had received a call from a neighbor, informing him that his mother’s husband had severely beaten her, leaving her with serious injuries.

Upon visiting his mother, Destiny found her badly injured and vomiting blood. He immediately rushed her to the Orile Agege General hospital for treatment.

Sadly, she passed away at about 6am on March 28, despite the medical staff’s efforts.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the suspect and the ongoing investigation into the case.

The deceased’s body has been transferred to the Mainland general hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The tragic incident has sparked outrage among the community and has once again brought the issue of domestic violence to the forefront.
