President Bola Tinubu swept Mafa Ward in Borno State during the APC presidential primary election. The ward is the home base of Governor Babagana Zulum.

Tinubu secured all 2,175 valid votes cast at Mafa Central Primary School on the day. That represented 100 percent of the ballots in the ward.

His sole rival, Stanley Osifo, didn't receive a single vote. Osifo is a businessman and APC member from Edo State.

The ward had 2,277 registered party members total. Nearly every member showed up to participate in the exercise.

Hajiya Inna Alkali Imam chaired the Presidential Primary Election Committee. She oversaw the voting process at the school.

Zulum serves as the state's Coordinator and Collation Officer for the presidential primary. He attended the Mafa ward exercise personally.

"I am from Mafa Ward, and that is why I am here to witness and participate in the exercise," Zulum told those present. "We have two candidates, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo."

After casting his own ballot, the governor praised how things unfolded. He noted the impressive voter turnout and enthusiasm among party members.

In his words: "So far so good, we have conducted the presidential primary election for Mafa ward, and I am very impressed with the turnout." Zulum added that all 2,175 accredited voters chose Tinubu.

Similar primary elections are happening across Nigeria as the party moves forward. Officials will announce the final results at a later date.
