Tinubu Meets with Afenifere, Assures Nigerians of Economic Recovery

President Bola Tinubu recently met with the National Leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, at his country home in Akure, Ondo State.

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, focused on core issues to move Nigeria forward.

During the meeting, President Tinubu assured that with the right foundations in place, the country would soon be out of its current economic hardship.

He emphasized the need to restructure Nigeria, but stressed the importance of laying proper foundations for the goals to align properly.

Tinubu also addressed concerns about the country’s economic and social issues, stating that he is working to build structures that will not be reversed.

He highlighted the need for Nigeria to become more self-sufficient in food production, stating that a nation that fully depends on food from outside sources cannot get it.

Fasoranti commended President Tinubu for keeping his word to return to his residence after being elected as President and praised his performance so far.

He emphasized the need for a true Federal Republic that would reflect fiscal federalism and questioned why the derivation principle is good for oil but not for value-added tax (VAT).

President Tinubu’s meeting with Afenifere signals his commitment to addressing the economic challenges faced by the Nigerian people and his determination to build a stronger and more self-sufficient nation.
