Tinubu Appoints Executive Directors For NPA, NIMASA

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed new executive directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

These agencies are under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

The new appointees for the Nigerian Ports Authority are Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet, Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, Executive Director of Marine and Operations, and Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar, Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.

At the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba has been appointed as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Chudi Offodile as Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi as Executive Director of Operations.

President Tinubu made these appointments with the belief that the new appointees will effectively execute their collective mandate to boost the contribution of the Marine and Blue Economy sector to the nation’s GDP.

The President also expects the appointees to transform the Nigerian economy into a labor-intensive and inclusive one that creates new opportunities for all Nigerians in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The appointments come at a crucial time for the Nigerian economy as it seeks to diversify its sources of income and boost the contribution of the Marine and Blue Economy sector.

The new appointees are expected to bring their expertise and experience to their roles and work towards achieving the goals set by the President.
