Tinubu and Wike Renew Hope for FCTA Staff: Atang Celebrates 60th Birthday with Renewed Optimism

President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike have renewed the hope of over 8,000 staff members in the FCTA.

This uplifting development was highlighted during the 60th birthday celebration of Samuel Atang, the Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

Atang, who has been instrumental in the transformation of the FCTA, expressed his gratitude for the renewed hope brought by President Tinubu and Minister Wike.

He emphasized that the staff of the FCTA had never experienced such positive changes before, with the new system allowing every staff member to be a potential permanent secretary or head of service.

The Head of Service also acknowledged the significant actions taken by Minister Wike to improve staff welfare.

These actions include the approval of the promotion of over 8,000 staff members in the 2023 exercise, as well as the granting of approval for elongation of service to nursing teachers and the payment of all outstanding allowances.

Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, the secretary of the Women Affairs Secretariat, delivered a goodwill message at the birthday celebration, praising Atang’s professional accomplishments and congratulating him on turning 60 and on his recent appointment.

Ikharo Attah, a former Senior Special Assistant to the immediate past-FCT minister, encouraged the directors to work together for the overall success of the Administration.

Attah reminded them that power comes from God and that with the numerous opportunities available, they too would be elevated. He also urged them to avoid keeping files, which would help accelerate the development of the Territory.

The renewed hope and optimism among the FCTA staff is a testament to the effective leadership of President Tinubu and Minister Wike.

Their commitment to improving the lives of the people they serve is evident, and their actions have set a strong foundation for the continued growth and success of the Federal Capital Territory.
