The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Taraba State has initiated a program to provide financial support to Corps members pursuing entrepreneurship.

The announcement was made by the state NYSC Coordinator, Anthony Nzoka, during the graduation ceremony of Corps members from the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program held on Monday in Jalingo.

Nzoka highlighted the importance of equipping Corps members with practical skills to secure a prosperous future, given the increasing population and limited job opportunities.

He emphasized the need for Corps members to adapt to contemporary realities and continuously develop their skills beyond the orientation course.

The NYSC Coordinator stressed that the organization is collaborating with agencies to explore funding options for Corps members during their service year.

He also encouraged the Corps members to focus on creating employment opportunities through their acquired skills and to contribute to national development by harnessing their potential.

The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship among Corps members and to ensure that they can effectively utilize their skills for the betterment of the nation.

By providing financial support to Corps members who are pursuing entrepreneurship, the NYSC is taking a proactive approach in addressing the challenges faced by the youth in the country and promoting a culture of self-reliance.

The Taraba State NYSC’s initiative to financially support Corps members’ entrepreneurship endeavors is a step in the right direction towards promoting self-reliance, job creation, and national development.
