Supreme Court Verdict: Dafinone Congratulates Oborevwori, charges him to walk the talk

The Senator Representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone extended his congratulations to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Supreme Court which affirmed him as the duly elected Governor of Delta State.

 

He noted that the Supreme Court legal validation is a testament to the resilience of our democratic processes and as a Democrat, “I congratulate my brother, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the contest is about service to Deltans and I urge Deltans to appreciate that we can achieve much when we all put Delta first.”

Senator Dafinone whilst acknowledging the responsibility that comes with the governorship of a state like Delta with multiple ethnic groups, and huge mineral and human resources charged Governor Oborevwori to stay committed to delivering on his campaign promises.

He disclosed that governance is all about service to the people, and urged the Governor to focus on policies and initiatives that will enhance the well-being of Deltans and contribute to the overall development of Delta State.

The Delta Central lawmaker noted that fostering a healthy democratic process is essential for the advancement of Delta State, he tasked the people of Delta Central to uphold the principles of democracy, fairness, and good governance.

Senator Dafinone also called on the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central to accept the outcome of the 2023 governorship elections with good grace and sportsmanship.

The Senator further expressed optimism for a vibrant, responsive, and responsible governance, wherein the focus remains on delivering positive outcomes for Delta State and its citizens.

Senator Ede Dafinone wished Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori a successful tenure, and offered prayers that his administration will bring positive change and prosperity to the good people of Delta State.
