The Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team, are preparing for a friendly match against Guinea as part of their preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Super Eagles are coming off a recent 2023 AFCON qualifying match against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, where they suffered a 0-1 defeat at home.

With this friendly match against Guinea, the team will be looking to bounce back and regain their form ahead of the AFCON tournament.

Head coach José Santos Peseiro has called up a strong squad for the match, including team captain Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen, and Ademola Lookman, as well as 20 other players.

The team will be looking to make the most of their training camp in Abu Dhabi, which will last from January 2nd to January 9th, 2024.

The Super Eagles have a rich history in the AFCON tournament, having won the competition three times in 1980, 1994, and 2013.

They will be looking to add a fourth title to their collection in the 2023 edition of the tournament.
