Delta North Senatorial District came alive with optimism on Monday as Senator Prince Ned Nwoko commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the historic groundbreaking of the Agbor Flyover in Ika South Local Government Area.

Speaking on behalf of the people of Delta North, Senator Nwoko described the Governor’s visit as “both timely and symbolic,” marking a major step in the state’s transformation agenda. “This project is a major step forward for our district. When completed, it will save lives, ease traffic congestion, improve the movement of people and goods, and boost economic activities across Delta North,” he said.

He stressed that the flyover is more than an infrastructure project, calling it “a strategic investment in public safety, economic growth, and urban efficiency.” Nwoko added that the development would decongest traffic corridors, reduce accident risks, and create a more business-friendly environment for residents and investors.

The Senator also lauded Governor Oborevwori’s broader commitment to infrastructural renewal, expressing hope for the timely delivery of other key projects, including the Okpai Power Plant Step-Down Project and completion of the Ogwashi-Uku Dam.

Describing the Governor’s presence as a reassurance of Delta North’s priority in state planning, Nwoko called for unity between leaders and citizens, stating, “Together, we are building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Delta North.”

Community leaders, government officials, and residents hailed the flyover as a landmark intervention signalling a new era of accelerated development for the senatorial district.
