Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, has taken another step in his mission to empower Nigerian youths by inviting the Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) for a strategic partnership.
The collaboration reflects Senator Nwoko’s dedication to addressing youth unemployment and fostering socio-economic development both in Delta North and nationwide.
During a meeting held at Senator Nwoko's National Assembly office and facilitated by Mr. Eric Ogbekene of E & O Global Konsultz Ltd, SWUYN presented their mission and objectives. The organization, focused on advocating for unemployed youths, impressed the senator with their structure and determination.
"It is organizations like SWUYN that demonstrate the power of focus, strategy, and determination in addressing the challenges facing our society. The youth must always remember that action is the first step to change," Senator Nwoko remarked after engaging with the group.
To ensure alignment with his goals for youth empowerment, Senator Nwoko requested SWUYN to declare their mission statement during the meeting. Satisfied with their vision, he called on the organization to prepare a detailed framework outlining strategies for skill acquisition, job creation, and entrepreneurial development. The proposed framework will serve as the blueprint for impactful initiatives under this partnership.
Hon. Gloria Okolugbo, Director of Communications for Senator Nwoko, commended SWUYN for their proactive approach and structured plans.
"This partnership demonstrates that when youths organize and present structured solutions, they can attract the support needed to drive real change. It is a model worthy of emulation by other groups across Nigeria," she stated.
Senator Nwoko, renowned for his transformative leadership, emphasized the importance of youth-led initiatives as a pathway to addressing unemployment and promoting economic growth.
As part of the planned collaboration, SWUYN will work closely with the senator’s team to implement programs that empower youths with essential skills, entrepreneurial opportunities, and sustainable employment prospects.
The collaboration represents a beacon of hope for unemployed youths across Nigeria and stands as an example of what is possible when vision meets initiative. Senator Nwoko’s continued efforts to champion youth empowerment further solidify his commitment to creating a prosperous future for young Nigerians.
