Sanwo-Olu Reassures Religious Groups of Support

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has recently reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting religious organizations in the state and fostering cooperation for the benefit of Lagos residents.

The governor emphasized the importance of Lagos State in the success of Nigeria as a whole, stating that if the state can successfully manage its affairs, it will positively impact the country’s image.

During a recent courtesy visit by the National Executive of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), led by President Ayodeji Abdul-Rauf, and the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), led by Bishop Stephen Adegbite, Governor Sanwo-Olu, represented by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, highlighted the administration’s efforts in improving the state’s infrastructure, including road development, the blue and red line rail projects, and the food logistics hub.

The governor expressed gratitude for the support and partnership of both religious organizations in achieving the state’s THEMES+ developmental agenda, which aims to improve the quality of life for Lagos residents.

During their respective visits, NASFAT’s President and the Executive Secretary of NCPC commended the Sanwo-Olu administration for its progress in the state, particularly in the areas of transportation and infrastructure.

They also appealed to the governor to continue supporting religious projects and initiatives.

Abdul-Rauf, the President of NASFAT, emphasized the organization’s alignment with the state’s THEMES+ agenda, especially in the area of health.

He requested that the state government provide a piece of land for the construction of a modern Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos.

Bishop Adegbite, on the other hand, reiterated the NCPC’s commitment to fostering partnerships with Lagos State in the areas of agriculture, technology, and leadership, while also promoting peace among the people. He encouraged the state government to continue supporting Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.

Overall, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s reassurances to the religious groups demonstrate his administration’s dedication to fostering a harmonious and prosperous Lagos State, working hand in hand with various organizations to achieve its development goals.
