Lere Olayinka, media spokesman to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has attacked online personality Martins Vincent Otse over claims against Rivers APC gubernatorial candidate Kingsley Chinda. Olayinka accused the social media critic, known as VDM, of making false allegations about land grabbing in Abuja.

VDM posted a video on Friday linking Chinda to a disputed estate in Life Camp, FCT. In the December 11, 2024 clip, he claimed Wike forcefully seized the property and distributed it to relatives, including Chinda.

"Wike woke up one morning and revoked it," VDM said in the old footage. He named Chinda, the House Minority Leader, as a major beneficiary in the transaction.

When Chinda emerged as APC's gubernatorial candidate for 2027, VDM renewed his attack. "This same Chinda?

Rivers State is finished," he declared.

Olayinka struck back swiftly on Facebook, calling VDM "a very dull man" for spreading misinformation. He argued the critic had been "advertising his ignorance" after supposedly receiving payment from the property claimant.

According to Wike's aide, VDM went silent once facts emerged disproving the allegations. "The land was never allocated to any claimant," Olayinka insisted.

He accused VDM of refusing to apologize for misleading the public. Instead, the social media figure simply abandoned the issue and moved on, Olayinka claimed.

Olayinka said VDM and his alleged sponsors "became silent when we brought out facts." He characterized this as typical of VDM's pattern of making baseless accusations.
